Bookings added for the Edwards Family

If you’re in the Bristol/Kingsport/Johnson City areas of Tennessee, head over to Ralph Sexton’s tent crusade behind the Bristol Motor Speedway to see my family under the old gospel tent for what is scheduled to be the closing night of the 3 week revival in Bristol, TN. There have been hundreds saved there already (that’s correct, hundreds), so pray that God will continue to stir up hearts that need Him.

Please pray that God will continue to use us. We would love to see more souls come to know Jesus and for our fellow Christians to be encouraged in these troubling times. Just remember what Luke 21 says, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (KJV)

This is quite possibly the best project from a ‘new’ group that I’ve ever heard.? While the group has been around for a couple of years, they’ve just recently gained popularity, having been added to Crossroads Records‘ lineup of artists.? Turning Point, which was recognizably produced by Arthur Rice, has a great flow to the song lineup and is just a pure listening treat.? It is noticeable in places that digital enhancements have been made, but they certainly do not detract from the listening experience of this project. In fact, it enhances the quality of the recording.

My favorite songs from the project were “Things That I’m Seeing,” “I’m Going There,” “Tell Me Who” & “Take A Little Look”, but honestly, there isn’t a bad song on the project.? The only problem I can see with the album is finding a way to top it with their sophomore project on Crossroads records.? If you can only afford a couple of albums this year, add this one to your must have list.

Praise report

To God be the glory…….

While we were singing last Wednesday night the altar was filled with people.? Around 20 people accepted Christ while the Edwards Family was singing under the old gospel tent in Bristol, TN.? We are always humbled by the moving of the Holy Spirit and we know that it is nothing we could do within ourselves.? Thank you, Lord, for using us to help grow your Kingdom.

Although I’ve never met this family from Kentucky, I am familiar with Bro. Robin Milby’s father, Bro. Handley Milby.? This Family Music Group artist really has turned my ear.? They have solid vocals from each singer and with some songs from the pen of Bass vocalist, Robin Milby, this family has a good start in Southern Gospel music.? The kids are good singers and in a few years when their voices mature even more, they should be a standout group.

Another thing that really grabbed my attention was the family’s website.? It is one of the best looking sites I’ve ever seen for a Southern Gospel group.
