Call to Prayer

With the current state of unrest in the middle east, oil prices are soaring and that puts an immediate impact on all of our pocketbooks.  Imagine if you had to fill up an RV or bus to travel thousands of miles to sing the gospel.  God really burdened my heart today when gas prices in my town jumped around 2o 30 cents overnight (10 more cents since lunch).  We need to pray for those on the road spreading the Gospel.  This not only includes SG groups, but also different music genres and especially evangelists and preachers.  I know first hand how hard it is to make ends meet on the road sometimes and an extra $40-50 per fill up is going to really hurt.

I know we all are going to feel the pain at the pump, but imagine having to pump 200 gallons at once instead of 20….these folks are going to need to be lifted up in prayer.  Not only that, if you go a concert or singing, be sure if the event is a love-offering type of event that you give as best you can.  A lot of people view love-offering events as ‘freebies’, but they are not.  Many folks don’t realize how much it costs to keep a ministry on the road.

Most importantly, pray for those on the road.  We need it!
