Cane River Revival .::. Thursday, 5/29/08

Thursday evening was crowded under the tent.? With Trinity bringing their choir over from Asheville, there was a larger crowd than usual.

The Campmeeting choir started the service, as usual.? The? stage was really crowded tonight with the addition of Trinity’s instruments and sound equipment, along with the Rochesters’ equipment on stage as well.

The Rochesters sang several songs after the choir was finished.? They are a talented group and the crowd ate them up.? Their musicianship is amazing.?

The Trinity Choir sang when they were finished.? They have a large choir, led by Music Minister Jay Boyce.? He does a fantastic job with the choir.?

After a few songs, Bro. Ralph spoke for a few moments about the history of the tent and how it is a dying breed.? He had my mother-in-law come up and testify again tonight and tell of how she was influenced by a man that went to pray on a hillside when she was a young girl.? God was all over her and she gave a stirring testimony.

The choir sang a couple of other songs, accompanied by video presentations.? The altars filled with people praying tonight while the choir was singing the last song.? God is still moving in people’s hearts.? I hope that our community has been helped during the meetings.? We still need revival.?

From Bro. Ralph’s comments tonight, it sounds as if the meetings might be extended.? It would be great if they could go another week, so I guess we’ll find out tonight what the plans will be.? Either way, it’s been a wonderful group of services.? God is good to us!!!
