Usually I love the mountains where I live.? The temperatures are usually nice.? Rarely does my area get above 80 degrees in the summer.? ? There’s almost always a cool breeze blowing here.? The people are generally friendly and just plain nice.?
Sometimes, however, the lack of technological advances in my area is rather frustrating.? As you may guess, I am writing this from work.? My internet connection at home is once again non-existant, hence my lack of posts on my blog and the forums I partake in.? My (cough, cough) “High-Speed” connection (< 512 kb) is on the fritz again for the second time in 2 weeks.? My only option for “High-speed” internet at home comes from a wireless tower on a mountain over 6 miles away and is broadcast to a reciever on a pole behind my house.? Although I do have Charter cable service, which is horrible by the way, they do not offer any internet services and neither does Verizon, who provides my landline phone service.? ? I long for the day when my area isn’t 10 years or more behind in technology.
If you ever plan on moving to? Western North Carolina, plan ahead for problems like this……..
