CANDLER, NC(Singing News) – Ray Dean Reese has announced that Harold Reed has joined the Kingsmen as tenor vocalist, effective May 14, 2007. Reese says, “Harold and his family recently relocated to the North Carolina mountains after three years in Pensacola, Florida. When Jeremy Peace announced his resignation from our group, we started looking for a tenor and we found a good one just across the county. We are thrilled to have Harold as a part of our quartet.”

Harold was a member of the Dixie Melody Boys for over 10 years and for the past three years, was the tenor of the Florida Boys. “I’ve been fortunate to be able to sing with some of Southern Gospel’s most respected quartets and I’m honored to have the opportunity to sing with the Kingsmen. My family and I are thrilled to be back in North Carolina and I’m humbled that God opened the doors for me to sing with one of my all-time favorite groups.”

Harold’s first date with the Kingsmen is tonight, appearing at the Southern Gospel Music Promoters Association’s annual banquet. Harold joins Ray Dean Reese, Brandon Reese, Phillip Hughes, Nick Succi, Grant Barker and Bryan Hutson, who returned to the Kingsmen in February as baritone vocalist.
