Album Rank for Group: #8 of 10
Here’s a blurb: If City of Light was the first of the modern era of the Kingdom Heirs sound (dominated by Dianne Wilkinson songs), then The Journey Home is the last of the more Kingsmen-esque previous era, marked by Squire Parsons songs. This is an excellent quartet music CD, the best songs being the uptempo convention-style numbers.
Knock my socks off: I’ve Passed Over Into Canaanland, More Than I Ever Asked For
Don’t skip that one: I’ll Stand, The Grace Way, Shoutin’ Time, I Love to Tell of His Love
I could honestly do without: Hide and Seek

This CD had been sitting in my area’s local Christian Book store for as long as I can remember. (9 years, maybe?)
I finally decided to buy it last fall, and, honestly, I love it.
It stayed in the van for months, in the CD player most of the time. I can repeatedly listen to this and not get tired of it. Right now it’s in the living room CD player, and I still play.
I don’t particulary care for “The Grace Way”, but the rest of the album is real good. Kirk Talley really did a great job, production wise.
This is the best Kingdom Heirs album that I have. Although I like group better after Jeff, Eric, and David left, this lineup made a better project than the ensuing albums that would soon come from Hosterman, Harman, Chapman, Rice and French.
