This is quite possibly the best project from a ‘new’ group that I’ve ever heard. While the group has been around for a couple of years, they’ve just recently gained popularity, having been added to Crossroads Records‘ lineup of artists. Turning Point, which was recognizably produced by Arthur Rice, has a great flow to the song lineup and is just a pure listening treat. It is noticeable in places that digital enhancements have been made, but they certainly do not detract from the listening experience of this project. In fact, it enhances the quality of the recording.
My favorite songs from the project were “Things That I’m Seeing,” “I’m Going There,” “Tell Me Who” & “Take A Little Look”, but honestly, there isn’t a bad song on the project. The only problem I can see with the album is finding a way to top it with their sophomore project on Crossroads records. If you can only afford a couple of albums this year, add this one to your must have list.
