Cross and Crown Music Reinstates Morning Star Records
Cross and Crown Music is excited to announce that they have reinstated Morning Star Records. As the premier music label for over three decades, Morning Star represented many of Southern Gospels top groups at one point in their career including the Perry’s, the Booth Brothers, the Crabb Family, Palmetto State Quartet, the Issac’s, the Dixie Echoes, Naomi and the Sego’s, the Martin’s and the Wilburn’s. With a list of countless number one and top forty hits, Morning Star has been leading force in the Southern Gospel industry.
“The momentum of God’s moving has pressed upon us that it was time to resurrect the Morning Star label. The opportunity to restore it back to its place in the heritage of Gospel music is humbling and also very exciting.” said Garnie Yeager, President of Cross and Crown Music.
Morning Star will begin announcing their new family of artists that include Gaither Homecoming artists, Hall of Fame members and other household names in Gospel music.

Please keep the family of Priscilla McGruder in your prayers. She no longer needs our prayers as she has received ultimate healing from God, but I’m sure the family will sure miss having her on this side of Heaven. Here’s a cool video of what Mrs. McGruder was all about.
I can hardly believe it’s true, but Greater Vision has just announced that Chris Allman will be their replacement for Jacob Kitson. Allman has always been my favorite tenor and it is so great to see him return to the group. I can’t wait to hear them sing again. (SOURCE)
2 prominent groups have announced the departure of their tenors: The Inspirations & Greater Vision.
Inspirations tenor, Dallas Rogers, is stepping down and Jodi Hosterman is taking his place. I thought Dallas was a great fit for the group, but I held judgment until I heard him with the group. I’ll do the same with Jodi. I’m looking forward to hearing The Inspirations’ new sound.
…we requested prayer recently concerning some issues we had to work through as a group, and the Lord has answered prayer. As of today, our new tenor singer is Jodi Hosterman. Many questions will arise about Dallas Rogers, but we want to put rumors to rest by saying that Dallas simply needs to be home with his …family. He is not leaving on bad terms, and the Inspirations wish him and his family the very best. (SOURCE)
Greater Vision has also announced that Jacob Kitson is leaving the group to begin his own evangelism/music ministry. Announcement of his replacement is forthcoming in the next week. (Here’s hoping Chris Allman comes out of ‘retirement’ from SG music :-)!!!)
Gerald Wolfe said. “Jacob is one of the most talented people I’ve ever traveled with, and we want to do all we can to help him reach his full potential in the work God has called him to”, Gerald continued.
Jacob said, “Being allowed to use my talent for God in such an honored position beside two of the industry’s most respected men has been a thrill, but unexpected turns in the course of the Lord’s master planning sometimes come.”
“Jacob has a great heart for the Lord, and I have the utmost confidence that he will succeed in his future ministry”, Rodney Griffin said. (SOURCE)
